Helping Hands for Haiti is a nonprofit charitable educational organization incorporated in the State of Florida. This organization was  founded 6 years ago in response to its founder’s intense desire to see poverty alleviated, healthcare expanded, and illiteracy combated in  Haiti.  Having  escaped the disparity through the kindness and generosity of others, he believed that it was only fitting that he should extend his hands back to respond to the overwhelming needs of those countless individuals in Haiti still held in the grip of poverty.

Helping Hands for Haiti  is slated to expend its humanitarian aid throughout the whole country. Now we operate in 3 regions, Plateau Central, Port-au-Prince ( west region), Jeremie, Les Cayes ( South Region). The Central Plateau, is an area that is situated in the central region of the country north of Port-au Prince. It has long been one of the poorest regions in Haiti. Following the earthquake in 2010, thousands of residents from the capital fled to the Central Plateau in search of food, water and shelter. With that influx of needy residents, the region’s already limited resources have now been stretched beyond its capabilities.  The region is already suffering as a result of the bleak Haitian economy even before the earthquake, now languishes in make-shift housing facilities with little to no access to the basic needs of food, clothing, medical care and educational support.

Port-au-prince is the capital devastated  by the last catastrophic earthquake in 2010.

The south region is that part of Haiti devastated by Hurricane Matthew.

Our vision is to serve individuals in the poorest communities throughout Haiti and the world by implementing strategies designed to alleviate poverty, hunger, and illiteracy.

Our mission is to serve the poorest communities throughout the world, with an emphasis on children, by providing education, nutrition, healthcare and vocational training. We seek to influence and empower these communities placing them on the path toward sustainability and self-sufficiency.
